As every good thing has an end, we have come to the end of this good thing..

As I mentioned in the title, we have come to the end of this beautiful thing. We have come to the end of another semester and this semester we have seen a lesson the like of which we have never seen before: Instructional Technologies and Material Design in English Language.

This course contributed a lot to me. I had the opportunity to improve myself by carrying out projects with technologies, applications and teaching techniques that I had never heard of before. In today's world, which is technologically developing in every field, it is very important to use technology for education. Thanks to this course, we discussed how and in what ways we can achieve this goal.

Before taking this course, I was receiving education through ordinary teaching methods, and when I became a teacher in the future, I was planning to teach using ordinary methods. However, thanks to this course, my perspective changed and my horizons expanded. To increase students' interest in the lesson, to enable them to get more efficiency from the lesson, and to make the lessons more enjoyable it is beneficial to take advantage of technological opportunities.

Doing projects in groups also had many benefits. It increases interaction and cooperation in the classroom environment. I think students doing a project in groups and in pairs has more contributions  than doing it individually. Thanks to cooperation and task distribution, awareness of responsibility and enthusiasm for carrying out the project increases.

To summarize, I think that taking this course has many academic and social benefits for me and my friends. We learned many new techniques that will be useful not only in our student life but also when we become teachers in the future. It was a great lesson in every sense, I would like to thank everyone who contributed, especially our instructor Mustafa Polat…

Creating an AR/VR integrated teaching material

 In this project, I worked with  Emirhan Korkmaz ,  Emir Batu Özdemir , and  Hüseyin Obut . We prepared a material using AR/VR technologies. As a subject, we chose to explore a foreign country. The country we chose was Italy and we chose Florence as the city. We visited a cathedral in Florence in 360 videos, and a museum using 3D technologies, we also put a YouTube video about the local food there and we wrote questions about all these to determine whether the students understood or not. As homework, we asked the students to imagine that they spent a day in Florence and write a diary of at least 150 words, describing the places they visited, the food they ate, and the things they experienced during the day. Overall, I enjoyed doing this project and found it very useful for the students. Creating an instructional video for the flipped instruction

    In this study, I worked with Emirhan Korkmaz , Hüseyin Obut , and Emir Batu Özdemir . We prepared a study using the Flipped Instruction method. Flipped Instruction Approach is a learning approach that reverses the traditional education model. In the traditional model, the teacher teaches in the classroom and the students do their homework at home. In Flipped Instruction, students first examine the course materials at home, get an idea about the subject, and then come to class. Class time is mostly devoted to activities such as discussion, problem-solving, and group work.This type of learning has many benefits. Some of these are; students use their time in class more effectively, each student has the opportunity to learn at their own pace, and there are more opportunities for practice in class.
